This work was created at the same time as "Mutually Assured", during a fellowship at the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship in Rockport, Maine. The object is designed after an undersea mine, a sort of antiquated piece of naval weaponry. The object also resembles the COVID-19 virus: a sphere with little ball-ended protrusions radiating from it. It sits atop a surveyor's style tripod. You can hang your jacket on it. You can hang your hat on it. It's just waiting for the water to rise.
